Meet Our Coaches


Rebekah_2018 Rebekah Betts is a recent graduate from Appalachian State University.  She graduated from the Beaver College of Health Sciences with a degree in Health and Physical Education (K-12) with a concentration in Sports Science and Coaching.  Finishing out her senior year at App State with four years in the Marching Mountaineers and Phi Mu Fraternity has brought her many leadership opportunities and memories. This will be her second year as the head coach for the MARC Sharks!! She is super excited to pump up the swimmers and teach them what she knows from her swimming experience.  Rebekah’s experience includes 13 years of participating on the summer swim team at Springdale Area Recreation Club and 4 years swimming on the varsity swim team at Broughton High School.  Get exited and pumped for Division 2 and an awesome summer!!! 


Version 2  Madeleine Pfaltzgraff is thrilled to be attending UNC Chapel Hill in the fall with an intended major in Journalism. She swam year round for 8 years and is feeling bittersweet about her final season competing as a MARC Shark. Madeleine also swam for Cary High School and was a team captain as a senior. This will be her 4th year coaching the MARC Sharks and she can’t wait to help lead the team in Division 2!

RobertB Robert Bennett will be attending UNC Chapel Hill next year with an intended major in Computer Science. He has been swimming with the MARC Sharks for as long as he can remember and is excited for his final season. Robert was captain of the Athens Drive High School Swim Team. He is excited to start his 3rd year coaching with the Sharks and is ready for another fantastic summer!

Daniel_headshotDaniel Baldwin is a rising junior at Athens Drive High School. He’s been swimming summer league for 12 years, year around for 9 years, and high school for both of his years in high school. He’s been with the Marc Sharks ever since they were in division 9 and is SUPER pumped that we’re making it up to the top. This will be his first year coaching and is excited to help lead the Sharks in Division 2.
